In my opinion, it makes the perfect compliment to anything you are doing in a way that is effective, affordable and measurable.
I have created Full Circle Voice as a means to share marketing best practices and new/innovative ways to use vMarketing/vMessaging. Tune in each week to learn how other marketers are closing the continuum with enthusiasm, emotion, and energy.

The voice marketing message is spreading quickly! The word is out....Vontoo is a powerful tool that enables organizations to create personalized voice marketing messages.
So many we encounter, often quickly dismiss voice as disruptive or percieved negatively. However, when implemented correctly organizations can deliver a powerful message to their audience in a way that our mobile communities want to be reached. Voice marketing is more than simply blasting out a message or robodialing with a computer generated voice. TRUE voice marketing allows the organization sending the message to personalize it with their brand while also realizing measurable financial results.
Vontoo was highlighted today in
BusinessWeek as one of America's most promising startups. This news is exciting enough, but more compelling is the customer successes outlined in the article. If you aren't already using voice,
try it today!
Exciting News! I was recently notified that Vontoo was nominated for the

Everyone at
Vontoo always works to find those creative ways to implement each client's voice campaign with a unique hook that will engage that client's audience by creating custom phone messaging. In working with colleges and universities, we have already found that the key to fan, student, and alumni engagement is often through the heart of their athletic performance.
DM News recently wrote about how Xavier University is using Vontoo's VoIP Phone Application to deliver excitement to their fans, students and alumni in the article titled
March Marketing Madness for Colleges and Universities.
Automated voice messaging is not just for sending out emergency messages, but rather much more about engaging your audience in meaningful messages that they want to hear on their own time. Your client messaging can be built to support all of your direct response advertising, but also just to say thank you or to build excitement.
Try Vontoo today! You will see results very quickly if you work to engage around every turn!
Nothing on Voice today....but one of my favorite blogs to read is
Tim Sander's Blog titled "Sanders Says" has great insight into business, marketing, and the economy in general.
In case you don't already know of him,
Tim Sanders is a former Yahoo! executive that is now a renowned business and motivational author, speaker, and blogger.
His books all speak a new language in business and "getting ahead". It is not only about winning, but how you win. He doesn't preach that in business it is all about YOU. His perspective is more more insightful and positive in that he encourages people to become likable, win and influence in business by sharing, and now with his most recent release how to not only become more socially conscious, but to win in the end as a result of it!
The Likeability Factor |
Love is the Killer App |
Saving the World at WorkI love his philosophy! There have been so many times that I worked this way and was scolded for not being more cut-throat. But, I am here to tell you, his message will become timeless because it rings true to the golden rule. Businesses and individuals can win by giving back-to their clients, their customers, their peers, and their community.
Okay I lied, now back to
Vontoo Voice Marketing, think of the power and enthusiasm behind a voice messaging service. I can just see it now....Tim speaks, sends a call....Tim writes, sends a call. What a personal touch and what a way to build a following. I know I would sign up to receive those messages! Not sure if he needs it though as he has quite a following already.
Try Vontoo Today!
After a full day of marketing work, I sit back and think of all the items contributing to my
Vontoo Voice Marketing Mix. I sit in a pretty interesting role here at Vontoo since I am not only the Marketing decision-maker, but also trying to market our automated voice messaging application to all of you. Now I have to tell you, for most marketers, it really is not a difficult decision to make. Like I have said before, technology is the key to ensuring every marketer has a toolbox of powerful and measurable tools!
We all have a marketing mix that we are adjusting and using various tools, services, campaign, and strategies to create the results needed.
I ask you today....what's in your mix?
Mass voice messaging can become a critical component of any mix by providing the power, enthusiasm, and energy of the human voice. Client messaging is key during these tough economic times, if they don't hear from you, they may hear from someone else. Keep your clients, audience, fans (or whoever you communicate to) engaged and locked into YOU!
Mix it up & Mix away, and in honor of our QUEEN Blogger extraordinaire Meg, enjoy the music mix!

I know, I know, the
2009 Superbowl is gone and football fans must look toward the next season. As an
Indianapolis Colts fan and of course living here in Indy, I can't help but get excited when I think of the upcoming years!

In case you did not already know, Indianapolis will be the host city for the
2012 Superbowl. With this comes a ton of excitement, but also a tremendous amount of planning and coordination. My mind spins with all of the possibilities in which sports marketers can use to prepare for an event like this. I only hope I can witness BOTH the event here in Indy and our own Colts there as well!
Being at
Vontoo and working with so many teams, I have quickly learned that it definitely does take a monumental effort to host any event. I have experienced sports marketers using voice to not only promote the event and sell tickets, but to also coordinate volunteers, build fan engagement, and increase partner/sponsor exposure. We leave for
PACnet (An Event for Ticketmaster clients marketing events) in a number of days and cannot wait to be where event marketers can learn more about Vontoo Voice Marketing and the impact it can have on your direct response advertising.
So I ask you today, whether you are a Superbowl planning committee, an event venue, or an individual team, what's in your sports marketing playbook? If Voice Marketing is not there, it should be. That, my friends will be the golden ticket, or should I say "golden football", to integrated marketing success!
During our recent vacation, we visited Cozumel and were very excited to visit the Mayan ruins of Tulum. It was amazing to escape back in time and allow all of us to learn a bit more about history. As we traipsed through the ruins, my daughter and I noticed something very interesting...

After being asked multiple times by my 10 year old daughter, I finally came up with the quick and very clever ) or so I thought response....It was Mayan voicemail and any message whispered into the rock would be delivered to the right Mayan. Okay, so she didn't quite buy it, but I did have her going for a brief moment as we passed rock after rock with the same slot cutout. We finally came upon one with a circle cutout, and being the clever girl she is, Chrissy quickly responded that my voicemail theory was all wrong. The rocks with the circles were Mayex...you know like Fedex. Kids these days are not only clever and very intelligent, but they are connected to technology.
And so you ask what is the point to this story....well, I think in this day and age of technology, we will have to ensure that the students of the future are well connected to their schools. We have schools currently sending voice messaging through Vontoo permission marketng software to prospects, students, alumni, and faculty. They are sending cell phone notifications and marketing season tickets. Mobile marketing will one day be more than just a new way to send communications, but rather an integral piece of the marketing mix to every opt-in marketing campaign.
p.s. The rocks with the slits were actually lights to the path that we took to the Mayan ruins of Tulum. What an experience for us all!

I recently took a vacation with my family for a weeklong cruise to the Western Carribbean and Central America. While this was a vacation and I was plannng to rest and relax, being the work-a-holic I am, I had every intention of checking emails and doing some work. As luck would have it....international waters are not so friendly to email and internet access. Like it or not, I was completely cutoff. While this was not an entirely bad thing as it did force me to rest, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on at work and how the Vontoo world was going.
As I reflected on this forced seclusion from work, I realized that there is one thing that everyone takes with them everywhere they go. Their phone. I very quickly learned I could still receive voice and text messages very well, so I depended on this to stay up-to-date. What a dependable method for reliable and trackable results for your direct response advertising. Any voice alert system that allows marketers the ability to create messages and send them to their audience regardless of their location is phenomenal.
During my time away, I still received Vontoo calls from my fellow voice messaging consultants and from our leadership. That kept me in the loop without going through complete vacation withdrawal. I even received a voice message from my daughter's new principal who plans to not only send voice messaging, but also blog to enhance communication to the parents.
I know, I know...I should have been relaxing and I did! I swam and sunned and am now ready to kick off 2009 with a boatload (no voice pun intended) of marketing strategies to make sure everyone knows how they can use voice marketing and messaging to further their communication efforts.
Remember, taking your marketing efforts full circle is not nearly as difficult as you might think! Simply think of ways you want to communicate with your audience and you have a million ways to implement the power of custom phone messaging into your marketing mix.
So as I watched the sun set each night on the ship....I could rest easy that all was well on the Vontoo front!

Permission-based or Opt-in marketing is not new.
Seth Godin and many others have been writing about it since 1999. What is new...the numerous ways you can go about obtaining that permission today. It's more than just surveys, contact forms, or signups at a tradeshow booth. The key is to ask permission at each step of the customer lifecycle. Are you utilizing opt-in forms within your landing pages? Your Web site? Are you providing ways for your customers to tell you how they want to engage? Do that and you will gain and retain highly committed customers. Right now, during this recession, marketers need every advantage they can get. Whether you are selling season tickets, requesting donor funds, or simply nurturing relationships....phone marketing and messaging can be a creative and cost-effective method to engage your audience.
Did you know that Vontoo offers a way for you to create your own opt-in page right within the application? With a Vontoo voice messaging account, you can walk the walk and be sure your marketing is permission-based at every step. Do you Vontoo? If not, you should.
Sign up today!
Use VOICE to complete that continuum.
As a marketer, I have always believed that the perfect marketing mix should help you come full circle with effective methods that help you achieve high ROI on your efforts. Full Circle Voice is a blog dedicated to just that...helping you take your marketing efforts through that continuum with the use of permission-based marketing ideas.
While Permission-Based Marketing or Opt-in Marketing is nothing new in the email world, there have certainly been some methods gaining ground quickly such as Voice Marketing and Voice Messaging. I have been marketing via email now for over a decade and have found that marketing technologies provide flexibility, affordability, tracking and immediate ROI. I have been amazed with the explosion of these web-based technologies such as blogging platforms and voice marketing systems. All the more reason to join a company on that trend!
I knew the power and enthusiasm of voice was something that was far from untapped. Having been at Vontoo only a short while, I am already seeing so many applications of this system that it can be mind boggling. Whether it is a team marketing season tickets, a church communication to members, or simply a cell phone notification, the power is there in every message I hear. The way I hear it, Voice Marketing can help you do four major things:
1. Collect Cash Faster
2. Increase Revenue
3. Cut Communication/Marketing Costs
4. Maximize Return on Investment
Vontoo Voice Messaging is a powerful tool that enables marketers to affordably take their efforts full circle. Stay tuned each week to learn how others are using the power and enthusiasm of voice through custom phone messaging to truly go Full Circle.
